We Work For Health is a grassroots coalition that aims to educate consumers and elected officials on the benefits of a strong life sciences industry. Once a year, the Nyhus team assembles a select group of representatives from across Washington state’s life sciences sector to be a part of the We Work For Health Summit in Washington D.C. The group advocates for public policies that create a strong, vibrant life sciences economy and a healthier America.

The three-day We Work For Health Summit in Washington, D.C. is an opportunity for experts in Washington state’s life sciences field to sit down with members of the Washington state delegation to discuss and educate decision makers on how public policy improvements can strengthen innovation, promote access, foster economic growth and lead to research and development of new cures.
Nyhus continues to secure strong partners representing a diverse range of Washington state’s thriving life sciences industry. Academic experts, patient advocates, medical researchers and consultants with experience bringing healthcare innovations to market in China were among those selected to accompany the coalition during its most recent trip. The group advocated in support of research and development of new drug therapies, outlined the need for FDA reforms to create an efficacious approval process, stood up for protection of patient access through existing federal retirement benefits programs like Medicare Part B, and demonstrated firsthand the economic value and promise of the life sciences industry to Washington state.
